In Ghent, the new parking lot Ramen was officially opened. This former aboveground parking lot was replaced by an underground one, which accommodates 280 cars, 173 more than the previous one. Ramen is mainly reserved for season-ticket holders and has 6 "split"-floors. Because of the small surface area, the difference in height was set at half a floor. This parking lot was part of a project, including aboveground houses and offices.
Via Play A.V., PVS got the chance to supply this parking lot with a music and communication system .The installed equipment included 51 Audac SP20 loudspeakers, an Inter-M PAM480A modular amplifier & PAM T tuner module for PAM amplifier, a Uniton DSM05, an Audac MVF16, an Audac PDM100 paging microphone and an Inter-M CD3500.
With this system, a general paging throughout the parking lot can be done with the PDM100 paging microphone. For audio source, there's a choice between a CD-player or a tuner. A previously recorded message can be broadcasted throughout the parking place via a digital message reader. 25 Emergency contacts were provided all over the parking lot. They can be used to control the message module.
